What information/data do we collect & how do we use it:

We collect your personal data when you place an order or call our online team, sign up for our newsletter, browse our website.  The data we collect includes details you provide to us, such as your name and surname and your shipping and billing addresses, email address.  Also data, such as items you would like to order, that you place on a wish list when you contact us directly via email or via phone call to our Online team.  Also information you have given us through signing up for our newsletter/giveaways such as demographic information such as postcode, interests, age.

We also collect data regarding your shopping habits and the pages and products you have viewed from your use of the website. This is done through cookies (“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier), and log files (Log files track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps).

What the data will be used for?

ONJENU will not share data with any third parties not directly associated with the provision of orders.

Your data will enable us, and our processors, to fulfil your order.  In order to deliver the goods we must pass on your address to other trusted third parties this is only to fulfil & ship out your order, for example:

  • Warehouse processor

  • Couriers for example Dpd/Fedex/UPS/Hermes

  • Postal services

  • Financial/Payment Service Providers – in order to process customer orders placed with us, ONJENU contracts with payment service companies who process payment, ensure security of your transactions and prevent or detect fraudulent transactions.

We require this information also to understand your needs and provide you with a better service and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.

  • The data enables us to provide you with help and assistance via our Customer Care team.

In assessing your request for goods or services, we may use your information for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. One of the purposes for which we may disclose your address and postcode details is to check against Security Alert or any other Fraud Prevention Scheme. At all times where we disclose your information it will remain secure. 

We will also send you email newsletters from time to time to inform you about our products, services, promotions and special offers from onjenu.com, this is only if you have signed up for our newsletter and also requested to be alerted about new arrivals, giveaways, events and other ONJENU updates.

We also collect data regarding your shopping habits and the pages and products you have viewed from your use of the website. We use this data to improve the functioning of the website, layouts and make it more user friendly.

We may also disclose aggregate, statistics about visitors to our website (customers and sales) in order to describe our services to other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will include no personally identifiable information.

How long do we keep your data?

We will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which you provided that personal data.  It is held for 7 years for the below reasons:

  • To comply with legal requirements

  • To respond to any questions or queries.

While those data used to send you our newsletters or other communication updates are retained until you ask to be unsubscribed.
